Robert A. Harris, MD

“I had health issues as a child that sparked my curiosity about treating illness. As I grew up I was very interested in sciences, physics and engineering. I like oncology because I get to intervene in a patient’s life at a time that it really, really matters to them. My favorite part is the one-on-one time I get to spend with people.”

Dr. Harris likes to spend time with his family, traveling and scuba driving. Dr. Harris trained in radiation oncology at the National Cancer Institute in Bethesda, Maryland. Dr. Harris then served as the Radiation Oncology Service Manager at the National Naval Medical Center. In that role he helped start the first intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) program in the Washington DC metropolitan area. Dr. Harris takes care of patients at Davis Hospital & Medical Center in Layton, UT.
